The next big KeePassXC release is only weeks away and we are getting very anxious about releasing a first public beta version as soon as possible.
The new 2.3 release will bring a lot of new and long-awaited features to you. But lots of new features also mean lots of new and updated strings waiting to be translated and this is where we need you!
Today we announce the release of KeePassXC 2.2.4.
This release is purely a stability release. Most importantly, we corrected a critical issue, where database corruption could occur under specific circumstances and also fixed several minor deployment issues and violations of the freedesktop specification for our Linux releases.
With our AppImage and Snap release, KeePassXC runs on almost any desktop Linux platform today. While especially the AppImage is extremely versatile and portable, we fully understand if users prefer a package that integrates better with their desktop system.

Although we expected 2.1.3 to be the last release in the 2.1.x series, we have released a new 2.1.4 maintenance update today. The release fixes a compatibility warning with the chromeIPass browser plugin.
The KeePassXC team wants to thank all who have contributed to our Authenticode certificate fundraising. With your support and additional generous funding from the Linux Fund (thank you especially, Ilan), we managed to collect all the money needed for purchasing a four-year Authenticode certificate.
To further ensure that you can really trust our Windows and OS X installer and avoid false positives in anti virus scanners, we would like to acquire a 4-year Authenticode code signing certificate and for that we need your help.
Today we released another maintenance release. We expect this to be the last release in the 2.1.x series before 2.2.0. The release mostly fixes smaller bugs and brings minor user interface improvements.
We also fixed a possible overflow in the external zxcvbn library, which we use for assessing password quality. We strongly recommend upgrading KeePassXC as soon as possible, but don’t believe this issue to be exploitable.
